Hello Bouncy Bens

Today both Bouncy Bens and Clever cats visited the 7th grade class to see their project on "Ocean creatures". The 7th grade did a great job explaining to the PK students the different sea creatures. The PK children added to the ocean project by giving the 7th grade students pictures of star fish, Jelly fish, turtles... Here are some pictures of our visit:

Hello Bouncy Bens

Today the school nurse Mrs Azouz visited the PK classroom and made a presentation on how we keep our teeth healthy. She showed the students pictures of healthy teeth and explained that the children have to  eat healthy food and they also have to brush their teeth regularly (twice a day) to keep them healthy. Then the nurse gave the students activities to do in the classroom. The PK children loved the presentation and here are some pictures:

One of our core values at ACST is grit. We encourage the students to try new things and give them a chance to prove they can do anything. The student puts a challenge in front of him/her and stick to it until it is finished even if it is hard. Here is an example of one of our students who stuck to a difficult puzzle until it is finished:

Hi Bouncy Bens

Pk students are so engaged in learning about water. The children were thinking and answering different questions such as : Where does water come from? Where can we find water? and why do we need to drink water? Today the Bouncy Bens and the Clever Cats PK2 children made their own river. First we talked about different kind of rivers in the world, the students watched a slideshow on rivers. We also talked about who drinks from rivers....
The students made a fabulous job. I am so proud of you Bouncy Bens! Here are some pictures:

Hello Bouncy Bens

This week we are introducing letter Nn to the Bouncy Bens. The students will be learning to identify letter Nn and say its sound. We will also look for N words in library books. Bouncy Bens will be busy writing upper and lower case Nn using different materials such as oil pastel crayons, wooden sticks.... I will post pictures of Nn activities soon.

The students are busy also working on shapes. It is a revision of all the shapes we saw in the classroom. I asked them to identify and name six shapes. Then draw them on your paper. Bouncy Bens did a good job and they came up with more six shapes....

Our cultural treasure bag activity is going very well. The students are so proud to "show and tell" their friends about their countries,  pictures of the cities, the country's flag, share different kind of food...
Well done Bouncy Bens. We are still learning about other people culture and countries. We will  post more pictures soon..
