Our Amazing Natural World: Water

Our third Inquiry unit this school year is about Water. Last week we introduced our new unit to the children. I asked them to draw a picture on water. They came up with different ideas. They drew pictures of lakes, rivers, beaches, rain... They did a great job.

The questions we ask: What is water? Where does it come from? Where do we find it???
The children are learning new words such as the tap and the hose....

Today we took the PK2 for a walk in the school and looked at places where we might find water. It was a great in school  field trip and here are some pictures:

Treasure Bags in Bouncy Bens

Hello Bouncy Bens

Next week we will start our cultural treasure bag. This activity will be done twice a week. On Mondays and Wednesdays. You will find in your child's bag a special bag called "Treasure Bag" where he/she have to bring something from his/her home country to show and tell. It is very important for the child to know more about his country and his culture. We are all the same but different.

I started with mine today. I talked about Tunisia and I brought food to taste... Bouncy Bens were very excited about it and they showed their interest about what language we speak and food we eat... They also looked at the Tunisian flag and book...

Welcome Back and Happy New Year 2014

Bouncy Bens are happy to be back after a long vacation. I hope you had a great one.We are getting back to our daily routine  gradually. The kids are enjoying the morning message and they are learning a new song called " Let's dance".

Today we introduced letter Kk for Kicking king. We are also learning to say K the sound and look for words starting with Kk....

If you going to travel to your home countries please purchase a souvenir for our multi-cultural treasure bag activity in January. These items may include: pictures, traditional dress, food or other interesting souvenirs.

Pre-School Toy Exhibition

You are invited to visit the Pre-School Toy Exhibition on Friday December 20th in the cafeteria from 10am to 11am.

Following the exhibition there will be a short assembly in the cafeteria and then each class will have a party in their own classroom from 11.30 to 12.00pm.

Please be on time and enjoy the last day before the winter break!!!!!

Bouncy Bens news!!!

Today the PK1 watched a puppet show held by the german language students. It was a great show and the children really enjoyed it. Here are some pictures:

 In math, we are learning to make sets of 8 and 9 objects. The PK2 students were busy counting and sticking 8 and/or 9 stickers on their papers. They did a great job!!!
