FESTIVAL PK INTERNATIONAL READING PICNIC

Where: In the Pre-School Classrooms
As part of the ACST World
Language Festival the Pre-School will be having an International Reading
Picnic. We hope to share with the children a wealth of different languages to
show them that there are lots of different languages in the world.
We invite parents to come in
to read short stories (PK level) in their own language for small groups of
children. There will also be 3rd Grade students reading stories in
their languages for the PK children. If you do not have a book in your own
language you are welcome to borrow a book from the PK class library or school
library and translate it into your language.
Format: Readers will be set up in a space in each of
the 3 PK classrooms. The PK children will move around between each of the
classrooms and listen to as many stories as they can within the half hour time.
At the end of the Reading
Picnic we will share a small snack together.
