PKN Weekly Newsletter

Hello PKN

This week the children are learning to recognize and say the sound of letter Hh for Harry Hat Man. They are singing the letterland alphabet song, saying its sound and tracing Hh on different worksheets. The children are also thinking of words beginning with Hh and sharing them with their friends. We also made very cute hats in the classroom. Here are some pictures:






 In math the children are learning number 8 and they are also trying to make sets of 8 objects. PKN children are trying to write number eight using play dough, colored crayons, felted pens and pencils. PKN are also learning new words such empty and full.Have a look at these pictures:








In social studies we are still working on same but different unit. We are now learning to know more about our school community. The children are learning about the library's role in the school, the lunch coordinator role and also other people taking care of our school. PKN are learning that we are all the same, we are human being but we have different jobs and role. Here are some pictures:















It is a very busy week and the children have learned many new things and also have had lots of fun.

Our Weekly News

Hello PKN


This week the PKN children are learning to name and say the sound of letter Gg for Golden Girl. We are reading the Gg story, singing the alphabet song and working on different letter activities such as making Gg with play dough, tracing Gg with crayons.. The children also painted green grapes. Here are pictures of our literacy sessions:











In math, the children are learning number seven. They are working on how to make sets of 7 objects using unifix cubes, buttons and small plastic animals. Also the children are identifying number 7 and trying to trace it using different materials.Here is a good number seven song the children love it:

In social studies, the children brought their family pictures to share with their friends. We talked about moms, dads, sisters, brothers, grandpa and grandma. We also found out that some families are the same and others are different. Then we made a family graph to see how many we are in a family. The children did a great job learning about the differences in the families. They learned that some families have 2 children and others have 3 children.... Here are the pictures:
