Inquiry Time

Hi

Today in our inquiry time I brought fruits to the children to share. It was a great session, the PKN children loved them. They tried apples, grapes and melon. We talked about the benefits of eating fruits. The children are learning that fruits have vitamins. Vitamins make us grow strong. We have to eat fruits everyday. "An apple a day keeps the doctor away" Here are the pictures:

Hello PKN

This week the PKN children are working on letter Cc for Clever Cat. The children are learning to say the letter Cc sound, how to trace Cc, sing the Clever Cat song and they are also trying to come up with words beginning with Cc.

In math, the children are learning about triangles. We are singing the shape song, we are making triangles with different materials such as sticks and play dough... PKN children are also learning about number 3: We are asking the children these questions: Show me number three? how can we trace the number? how many objects can we put under number three? The children are trying very hard. They are great learners. I am proud of you guys. Here are some pictures of our math sessions:

In inquiry, we are learning how to be healthy learners? The children are learning to bring healthy brain food to school, we are also encouraging the children to eat healthy at home through our 5 a day challenge sheet we sent home. We are teaching the children what's good for your body and what is not good?? The children are also exercising in the classroom to keep their body healthy and full of energy...PKN children are enjoying this theme and they learning new vocabulary every day. Brain Food
