Letters and Numbers in PKN!!!
Hello PKN
This week the children are learning letter Bb for Bouncy Ben: We read the Bouncy ben story, sing the alphabet song, write Bb, name the letter and say its sound (These activities are all in the letterland program). The children love this program because it is very interactive.
In Math: The children are learning a new shape which is "The Square". We are learning to identify squares, sing songs about shapes, try and make our own squares...
Also, we learning number 2, how to trace number two using different materials( pencils, oil pastel crayons, felted pens...)
In Inquiry: The children are learning about healthy food and how to keep ourselves clean: washing hands, taking showers and washing faces...PKN also are learning to exercise in order to be healthy...
It is a very busy week. I will post pictures to show some of our activities we do in class. I will share with you the songs we sing in PKN so that you can practice with your child.

PKN News
Hello PKN Parents
We had a busy week working on recognizing numbers from 1 to 6, matching numbers with quantities, make sets of 3 objects... Also the children are learning how to trace numbers.
In literacy, we worked on Annie Apple this week: We listened to stories, we practiced the Aa sound, sang the Annie Apple song and worked on lots of other letter activities. The children are getting used to the daily routine and following the teacher's instructions. Good Job PKN!!!
Next week we will start Bb for Bouncy Bens.
In inquiry: We finished our "Friends" unit, today I introduced to the PKN children our healthy habit unit. We talked about healthy food and non healthy food. We used picture cards to distinguish between good food and bad food. I put in their folders the 5 a day challenge. The children are asked to eat fruits and vegetables and fill in the 5 a day challenge card. Try to bring the completed records card on Monday september 22nd. If the children have met the challenge they will receive a certificate to say they are super kid.

PKN Newsletter

We had a great Monday. The children are getting used to the daily routine and they are learning to follow instructions and listen to the teacher.

Friends Unit
Hi PKN
Our children are doing so well in our inquiry unit "friends". Today they learnt how to build and make something together. I asked PKN children to build a tower together. The goal is to learn how to help each other. The children are learning to work cooperatively. They did!!!! Well done PKN

We are all friends!!!
Hello PKN
The children are working on what is a friend and how to make friends?. We are teaching the children to take care of each other, share toys together, read books together, play with each other and listen to each other. Also, in PKN we are learning about true friends and how we make our friends happy...
